Parliament is back today after the Easter recess, but I won’t be there for the first couple of days. Yesterday morning I flew to Rome, and tomorrow I’m in Milan, with colleagues on the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee as part of our inquiry into improving UK exports. We’ll be looking at what we can learn from the Italian Government’s successful initiatives on the issue, meeting with our export agency UKTI and talking to UK businesses.

By cutting disability benefit to give tax breaks for the wealthier, the Conservatives are yet again making the wrong political choices.
