I’ve been called for jury service for this week and next, which is obviously going to limit my Parliamentary work.

I’ll be doing it in London, which also means that I’ll not be be back home in Sheffield for the next two Fridays. But I’ll be able to get to Westminster every evening for any votes and to catch up with constituents’ correspondence. I’m particularly disappointed that I’ll not be in the Commons for the debate on the abolition of student maintenance grants, which has been called by Labour to highlight the way the Government were refusing proper discussion of this attack on the poorest students – something I challenged David Cameron on last week and attempted to stop in Committee.
