Labour will put 10,000 more police on the streets to cut crime

I’m really pleased that today Labour has committed funding the 43 forces across England and Wales to hire an extra 10,000 officers operating in community policing roles. 

Policing is an issue frequently raised during my Big Conversation community consultation events as you can see here.

I have raised the impact that this Government’s police cuts have had on our communities in Parliament and will continue to do so if re-elected.

Labour’s announcement today would ensure at least the equivalent of one more bobby per electoral ward. You can read more here.
