NUS Conference comes to Sheffield
Paul has welcomed the news that Sheffield will host the National Union of Students' national conferences in 2012 and 2013. The conferences will be held in the heart of Sheffield Central constituency at City Hall and will be attended by 1500 delegates. Before entering Parliament Paul was the Chair of the Sheffield City Trust which oversaw the regeneration of the much-loved City Hall.
“I’m delighted that the NUS have chosen Sheffield for their major national conferences. Held over several days, the conferences will generate substantial income and showcase the city to thousands of people. The NUS decision highlights the fact that, with two great universities, we are now one of the most popular student cities in the country.”
