Parliament is in recess for Party conferences, but there’s lots going on!

Parliament is in recess for the next three weeks while the party conferences take place. I’ll be spending most of my time in Sheffield with my annual community consultation, the Big Conversation

I’ve over 40 events, including Q&As, open meetings and café drop-ins across the constituency (full list and map here).

In between Big Conversation events, I’ve meetings with South Yorkshire African Caribbean Business and Enterprise Training Centre, Hallam University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Chris Husbands (who was recently appointed as Chair of the Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework Panel), local GPs, and local Councillors. I’ll be speaking at a Sheffield Climate Alliance event – and I’ll be spending four days in Liverpool at the Labour Party conference, where I’m speaking at events on immigration and on mental health. I’ll also have a couple of my regular advice surgeries on Friday 23rd September at 16:00 and Saturday 8th October at 9.30 (call my office on 0114 272 2882 to book an appointment).
