Please note: I am not currently an MP, as Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election on Thursday 8 June 2017.
It's been a huge privilege to be MP for Sheffield Central for the last seven years. I'm delighted to be standing as Labour's candidate at the General Election on 8 June.
We don’t have any time to waste. On 8 June we’ve got a big choice. It’s about the sort of country we want to be.
If you'd like to get involved in supporting my re-election campaign you can help in a number of ways:
Delivering leaflets: We’ll need to get out our message to 40,000 homes across the constituency, at least a couple of times over the next 6 weeks. If you don’t already have a regular leaflet round, could you do one?
Knocking on doors: Speaking to people, and finding out their views, is a key part of mobilising our support. It doesn’t need any special knowledge. You'll be briefed and there’s always an experienced volunteer in every team. Could you offer some of your time to join us – both in Sheffield and on our trips to other nearby constituencies?
Please email me at email@example.com to let me know how you can help – and I’ll get straight back to you with more details.
Giving money: We plan ahead for General Elections. A surprise election costs money we don’t have. Anything that you can give will help. You can make donations online here or by sending a cheque (made out to Sheffield Central CLP) to our Treasurer, Peter Cromar, at 13 Grange Crescent Road, Sheffield, S11 8FX.
