I’ve secured a debate on Monday 9th May in the House of Commons on the closure of the Sheffield BIS Office and the transfer of 247 jobs from Sheffield to London. In view of the fact the decision clearly makes no financial sense, the motion that will be debated calls on the National Audit Office to conduct a cost benefit assessment of the proposal to close the Sheffield BIS Office.

Lots of you have already got in touch to voice your concerns about the Government’s ill thought-out proposals but if there is anything specific you think I should raise in the debate, please get in touch by emailing paul.blomfield.mp@parliament.uk.
