Paul hopped aboard the Wybourn Community Primary School walking bus this week. Paul joined pupils on their walk to school as part of Walk to School Week (16-20th May). Wybourn Community Primary School runs two walking buses which pick children up from their homes, walk them to school, and drop the pupils off at the school Breakfast Club.

Paul said “It’s great to see so many children taking part in the Wybourn Primary walking buses. The staff and parent volunteers do a fantastic job of organising the bus every day, and the kids really enjoy it. I wish my walk to work was that much fun every day!

“Walking to school is a great way for kids to get exercise with their friends, and the walking buses get them to school on time every day. I’d definitely encourage other schools to set up walking buses if they can.”

Julian Wood, Acting Deputy Head at Wybourn Primary, said:  “Our walking buses have had an amazing impact. They are getting pupils to school on time and raising fitness levels.”
