Last week Theresa May finally shed some light on the Government’s Brexit plans, risking the economy to appease her Europhobe backbenchers, and this Tuesday the Supreme Court will deliver its judgment on whether MPs will have a vote on invoking Article 50. So it’s no surprise that Brexit will again dominate my week, with a Commons Statement, meetings, and then Brexit questions on Thursday. 

Aside from Brexit, this week I’ll be joining Ministers in a roundtable discussion on voter registration and democratic participation for students and young people where I’ll make the case for Sheffield University’s model of voter registration, which I helped develop; and I’ll be speaking at Justice Questions where I’ll be pressing the Government on the scandal of increased employment tribunal fees denying workers access to justice. 

On Friday I’ll be back in Sheffield where I’ll be catching up with my staff on constituency casework, after two Fridays in Westminster, meeting local Councillors, and holding one of my regular advice surgeries. Then on Sunday I’ll be attending a service and reception at the United Synagogue in Nether Edge.
