Parliament’s in recess this week for the Conservative Party Conference and I’m out and about across the constituency with the last sixteen events of this year’s Big Conversation. I’ll be meeting with local faith leaders, with members of the Chinese Community Association, and with young people in local secondary schools and the University Technical College. During the week I’ll also be speaking at the Higher Education Policy Network at the University of Sheffield, catching up with the BBC’s new local political reporter, and celebrating the opening of St. Wilfrids Place, a great new initiative by St Wilfrid’s Centre, providing supported housing for adults with a history of homelessness.

Labour’s Shadow Health Minister Barbara Keeley will be joining me at the final Big Conversation event on Saturday which focuses on health and social care -; do come along and share your views (details here). Then, in the afternoon, I’ll be out knocking on doors and hearing views in Broomhall and Highfield.
