I challenged Home Secretary Sajid Javid today over a Home Office deportation flight to Jamaica, which had been raised with me by constituents. David Lammy secured an Urgent Question in the House of Commons in which many MPs raised concerns relating to the individuals facing deportation – saying many had been in the UK since they were children. When he cursorily dismissed their concerns, I pressed the Home Secretary to personally review the cases of those to be deported – but without success.
