As the risk of a disastrous ‘no deal’ Brexit grows with Government’s chaotic handling of the negotiations, this morning I challenged the Brexit Secretary on how the Government would vote on a ‘no deal’ Brexit motion in two weeks. He failed to answer twice.
The Government has been forced by cross-party pressure to give MPs a vote on a ‘no deal’ Brexit, even though we have already indicated in a previous vote that we oppose it. Yet they refused to answer how they would vote. They are still running down the clock, trying to force Parliament to choose between their deal or no deal. Labour rejects both and, faced with either, will support or put forward an amendment for a public vote to prevent a disastrous Tory Brexit.
