Parliament was dissolved yesterday for the General Election and I ceased to be an MP, but I’m pleased to be standing for re-election. Johnson claimed he didn’t want an election, but he’s been pushing for it for weeks. He wants to frame it as a ‘People v Parliament’ contest over Brexit, but it’s about much more than that.

This election is about what sort of country we want to be – it’s a chance to bring the radical change we need on inequality, public services, insecure work, housing and tackling the climate emergency with Labour. We’ll also give the people a final say on Brexit, with an option to remain in the EU.

I’ll be campaigning every day until 12th December here in Sheffield Central, and supporting candidates in other seats Labour must win to form a Government. If you would like to help you can volunteer, or donate to my campaign here.

If you’d like to get in touch during the election, email me at paul@paulblomfield.co.uk or ring me on 07930 350449.
