I’ve raised the issue of flammable ACM cladding many times since the Grenfell tragedy and have supported leaseholders in the Metis Building near West Bar (see more here) and this afternoon I joined a debate on the issue, which had strong support from MPs across parties.

The have taken action to address ACM cladding, which has been identified as the most dangerous type, although there are outstanding issues which were raised in the debate. Today I raised concerns with other flammable material, and particularly HPL cladding, which was used on the student accommodation block in Bolton which caught fire last November.

I wrote to the Secretary of State about HPL cladding after that fire (see more here), and having not got a response, pressed it with him again last month. Today I pressed him again because the Government must act on all flammable cladding. Sadly, there was still no response. You can watch my question below:
