After Boris Johnson’s broadcast last night, on which I expressed my concern, I’ll be watching his statement in the Commons this afternoon to see if he can offer any more clarity – particularly following his deputy Dominic Raab contradicting him this morning on key points, adding chaos to confusion.

I’ll still be working from home, in line with guidance, but I’ll be back in the Commons Chamber virtually tomorrow for International Trade questions as part of the shadow team. I’ll also be following the talks on our future relationship with the EU, which reach a crucial stage this week, and which we’ll be discussing at our weekly Shadow Cabinet Office and International Trade team meetings.

Locally I’ve online meetings with the NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group, City Council Cabinet members, as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable to discuss the latest position with the response to coronavirus. I’m also meeting Council Officers to discuss rough sleeping and street begging.

Tomorrow I’ll be joining the annual #MillionsMissing event, raising awareness and listening to the voices of people living with ME, something I’ve backed previously and raised in Parliament. I’m also meeting up with the Chief Executive of Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX), a charity I helped to establish to tackle human trafficking for labour exploitation.
