As the negotiations on our future relationship with the EU enter the last few days, the issue will be dominating my week ahead. I’ve meetings with the National Federation of Fishermen’s Organisations and the Irish Embassy, among others, and on Thursday I’ll be challenging Ministers at International Trade Questions in my capacity as Shadow Minister for Brexit and EU Negotiations.

Tuesday is International Students’ Day and I am chairing a meeting of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for International Students along with Lord Bilimoria. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the contribution international students make to the UK, as well as the ways they can be supported during the current crisis. Later in the week I am meeting with the Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust, in my role as Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Students, to discuss problem gambling.

The Covid-19 crisis obviously continues to overshadow everything and I’ll be meeting with Sheffield’s Director of Public Health and senior Council Officers to discuss the local position. I’ll also joining the city’s other MPs in a meeting with the Council’s Cabinet member responsible for housing.
