I was hoping to speak in yesterday’s debate on arrangements for touring professionals and artists in the EU, but unfortunately it was oversubscribed.  So today I wrote to the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, highlighting the issues raised with me by constituents and urging him to work with the EU to secure arrangements for touring performers. 

Our cultural sector is one of our crown jewels, and it’s already had to weather the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic – Government must do all it can to protect it as we recover from coronavirus.
