I was pleased to send a message of support from Sheffield to the people of Ukraine in the book of solidarity to be sent to the Chair of the Verkhovna Rada, the Parliament of Ukraine. I recalled our links with Donetsk and committed our solidarity until Ukraine is free.

Yesterday I pressed the Home Secretary to give all Ukrainians in the UK the right to bring any family members fleeing the conflict here and to offer a humanitarian resettlement route to thers who want it, as proposed by the Refugee Council. Watch our exchange below.
