After increasing numbers of constituents have contacted me about the difficulties of getting NHS dentists, I met last Wednesday with our Local Dental Committee to discuss the problem and this week there are two debates in the Commons on the issue in which I’m planning to speak.

Today I’ll be joining an event organised by the Jewish Leadership Council and attending a Delegated Legislation Committee on the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (Amendment) Regulations 2022 on which I’ve been selected to serve. I’ll also be joining an event organised by Keir Starmer to mark Armed Forces Day, which is on Saturday.

20-26 June is UK Refugee Week and I’m planning to join events organised by the APPG on Refugees and the International Rescue Committee – looking at the scale of the world refugee crisis, with 100 million people displaced from their homes, and how we support those fleeing conflict and persecution.

I’ll be in Wakefield on Thursday for the by-election, having campaigned regularly with members of the past few weekends. On Friday I am catching up with the Sheffield Children’s Hospitals Trust on Friday along with other local MPs.
