As the General Election has been called, I cease to be a Member of Parliament with effect from Thursday 30^th May following the dissolution of Parliament.

There are no MPs from that date until after the election on 4^th July, but my office will remain open throughout the election period with my staff able to assist constituents with urgent casework only.

I am not seeking re-election. My successor as Labour’s candidate is Abtisam Mohamed who I know, if elected, will be a great MP for Sheffield Central.
