The Big Conversation
This year’s Big Conversation will take place from 14th September to 6th October. Get in touch if you have an idea for an event.
I hold my annual community consultation, the Big Conversation, every year to listen to people’s concerns and views.
Last year I held 40 events with hundreds of people attending across the constituency. To find out more you can read my report, which summarises the main issues raised in meetings and survey responses, and my recent update, which outlines how I’ve been taking up the issues raised since the last Big Conversation.
Last year I held…
Open meetings in Walkley, Skye Edge, Broomhill, Nether Edge and the City Centre.
Special open meetings seeking views on Brexit, health and social care, mental health, safer communities, the environment, democracy, and renting.
Café & pub drop-ins at Park Library Café, Manor Park Café, Amici & Bici Café, Real Junk Food Café, Gerry’s Bakery, Primoz Café Restaurant and the Gardeners’ Rest.
Meetings for specific groups – including women, young people, small businesses, the third sector, local schools, and students at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
Street surgeries in Broomhall, Highfield, Langsett, Sharrow and Wybourn.
