Parliament’s in recess this week so I’ll be in Sheffield catching up with visits to local organisations, meeting constituents, dealing with casework and more. Today I’ll be dropping by local radio station Iman FM to discuss Brexit and other issues -; phone in on 0114 242 0551 with questions. Then on Thursday I’ll be hearing the views of students at a Q&A at Sheffield University Students’ Union and supporting Sheffield Mind, a local charity working for good mental health – tickets available here.

During the week I’ll be visiting Northern General Hospital to hear about the effects of alcohol-related liver disease; meeting with the Sheffield Housing Company; talking to Sheffield Hallam University‘s Vice Chancellor about the Teaching Excellence Framework and other issues; speaking at the Student Education Conference at Hallam; catching up with the Chair and Chief Executive of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals; meeting with the Chief Executive of South Yorkshire Housing Association; and talking to constituents.

I’ll be attending the launch of a vision for the economic and social development of Sheffield City Region following a public consultation led by our two Universities, together with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I’ll also be aiming to fit in trips to Stoke, during the week and again at the weekend, to campaign for Labour’s candidate Gareth Snell in the by-election.
