I’m looking forward to another week knocking on doors and meeting people -; the reception I’ve received has been brilliant and it’s great to see all the posters everywhere (if you want one, get in touch here). Alongside this, I’ll be meeting parents outside schools, visiting the Cherry Tree Project for homeless young people and backing the Princess Diana Award mentoring campaign to connect adults from the world of work with disengaged young people.

There are three hustings this week, which are open to everyone to quiz me and other candidates for Sheffield Central:

• 7pm, Tuesday 23 May at St. Mary’s Church and Community Centre, Bramall Lane. Organised by Sheffield for Democracy.

• 7pm, Wednesday 24 May at the King’s Centre Church, Union Road, Nether Edge.

• 5.30pm, Thursday 25 May at the HUBS, Paternoster Row. Organised by Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union.
