In a deeply disappointing night for Labour, I was pleased to receive the strong endorsement of constituents in Sheffield Central (see below and more details here). It’s been a great privilege to represent you over the last nine years and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to do so for the coming Parliament. I regret that dealing with the challenges we face – reflected in my Big Conversation report – will be so much harder with a Conservative Government led by Boris Johnson. But I will continue to do all I can to raise your concerns in Parliament and to ensure that Labour responds to the lessons from last night, so that we can again win power to bring the change our country needs.
