As Sheffield moved into ‘tier three’ lockdown measures today, I challenged the Health Minister about the continued challenges facing the hospitality, music, events and creative sectors in the constituency – pressing points I made to the Chancellor on Monday.

It is clear we need to take such measures to stop the spread of the virus, but without proper support for businesses and the self-employed, too many people will face hardship. The ‘take it or leave it deal’ given to South Yorkshire is inadequate and does not offer enough to protect livelihoods.
