Parliament is in recess this week which would usually mean a break from travelling to London, but that’s been the norm through lockdown anyway. I’ve meetings on Covid-19 as we head towards next week’s review of lockdown measures and would welcome hearing from constituents on the issue.

Away from coronavirus, I’ll be joining Sheffield charity Gambling with Lives at a meeting I’ve arranged with my colleague Jo Stevens, the Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on gambling addiction.  Although no longer a Shadow Brexit Minister, I’m speaking at a Labour Movement for Europe webinar on our future relationship with the EU and also at a Save the Children event on Yemen and cuts to international aid.

I’ve several local meetings too, including briefings on Sheffield City Region’s Strategic Transport Plan and the bid for a South Yorkshire freeport, both with other local MPs. I’ll also be catching up with the Chair and CEO of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and with the CEO of Manor and Castle Development Trust.
