As part of my Big Conversation, I recently visited Sheffield College to hear from students about concerns that were most important to them. As has often been the case when talking to young people, access to mental health support was among their top priorities, so I took the issue to Health Minister Maria Caulfield in Parliament.

Young people continue to be badly let down by mental health support, with one in six reporting problems but 75% of schools having no access to counselling and CAMHS unable to cope with rising demand – so I’ll continue to press the issue.
