Paul Blomfield Former MP for Sheffield Central
I have been deeply moved by the extraordinary bravery of protesters, led by women and girls, campaigning for democracy and human rights in Iran over the months following the killing of Mahsa Amini – and a huge number of constituents have written to me about the appalling brutality of the regime’s response.
I spoke at a protest in Parliament Square today and have written to the Foreign Secretary calling on the Government to take the strongest possible sanctions against the Iranian regime and backed this Early Day Motion on the issue.
