Today I pressed Michael Gove, the  Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, on the problems faced by residents in Mandale House with a company seeking to avoid its building safety obligations and wrongly pass costs on to those who own flats.  

Last week I visited Wicker Riverside with the Building Safety Minister, with whom I’ve been working to secure the successful remediation of faults in their building while minimising disruption to those living there.  

I’m continuing to work with Ministers and government officials, as well as the city council, to make sure companies are held to account and, as I said on ITV this week, that the years of misery leaseholders have faced is brought to an end as soon as possible.
