The morning in Treasury Questions, I challenged the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the Government undermining the university funding model that they have created, which makes universities dependent on income from international students.  

He dodged the question, leaving the Chief Secretary to the Treasury to answer and she pretended to be unaware of the suggestions being floated by the Prime Minister and Home Secretary which will damage international student recruitment. 

I’m following up on our exchange with proposals on how the Government can make university funding more sustainable.
