This morning I’m chairing a meeting of the Castlegate Area Board which has been set up by the Council with local partners, to champion the regeneration of Castlegate including overseeing the delivery of the levelling-up project for the area.

Then I’m heading down to Westminster where I’ll be speaking in a Westminster Hall debate on a petition about gambling affordability checks. After that I’ll be joining a memorial event for the late Lord Bob Kerslake who was Chief Executive of Sheffield Council before going on to head the civil service.

On Tuesday I’ll be in the Commons where my question to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero on fuel poverty has been selected. I’ll then be joining the AGM of the Somaliland APPG before heading to the launch of a FLEX (Focus on Labour Exploitation) report which I’m hosting. I’ll then be meeting with Movember to discuss men’s engagement with the health system in relation to the Health and Social Care Select Committee’s ongoing inquiry into men’s health.

On Wednesday morning I’ll be going to Breast Cancer Now’s drop-in on increasing screening uptake before, then joining a lobby on the infected blood scandal. After that I’ll be meeting a constituent who’s research is being displayed at the  Posters in Parliament exhibition.  Later I’ll be hearing from the Renter’s Reform Coalition before heading to the TalkBanStop event on ‘Collaborating with financial services to reduce gambling harm’.

I’m back in Sheffield on Thursday where I’ll be joining a Q&A session with students at Sheffield College as part of events marking Colleges Week. On Friday I’ll be meeting with the Council leadership team and with the Chair and Chief Executive of the Children’s Hospital, as well as Sheffield Citizens Advice. Then at the weekend I’ll be out knocking on doors to hear from constituents in Walkley.
